Kamal Thota is the Chief Technology Officer at CSA Partners, bringing 24 years of experience in digital transformation, cloud modernization, and AI-driven innovation to a firm that has spent nearly two decades building the most accurate cost segregation practice in the country. He holds a BS and Master’s in Computer Science, and began his career as an intern at the Indian Space Research Organisation — an early signal of how he’d always approach his work: start with the hardest problem in the room.

From that foundation, Kamal built a career by moving toward complexity rather than away from it. Across industries and across continents, he’s led organizations through cloud and digital transformation initiatives, built teams that turned tangled processes into scalable platforms, and used AI to improve how businesses make decisions and serve customers. His philosophy hasn’t changed: start with the customer experience and work backward to the technology. Never the other way around.

He joined CSA Partners in April 2026 as the firm’s first Chief Technology Officer — a role that reflects where CSAP is headed as much as where it has been. He’s a member of the Association for Information Management (AIMUtah) and is happily married to his wife Amber. Together they have three children: Krish (19), Anisha (16), and Ashani (10). In his spare time he’s an avid sports analyst, a lifelong Indian music fan, and a recent pickleball convert who will readily admit he should have switched from tennis sooner.
